StarCaster™ has been tested on the following Windows operating systems:
  • Windows 95/98/98SE
  • Windows NT (up to 4.00 Build 1381 Service Pack 6)
  • Windows XP
To create a clickable icon on your Windows desktop, do the following:
  1. Right-click on your Windows desktop and select New|Shortcut.
  2. Enter C:\GOSTAR.BAT for the command line.
  3. Enter StarCaster for the name of the shortcut.
  4. Select whatever icon you wish.
Windows 95/98/98SE only: Now that your icon is made, you need to change some properties of it:
  1. Right-click on your new icon and select Properties.
  2. Select the Program tab and make sure Close on exit is checked [X].
  3. Select the Memory tab and specify at least 540 for Conventional memory, and 1024 under Extended (XMS) memory (examplePop-up window)
